Personal data protection policy

Pursuant to that stated in the organic law 15/1999 of 13 December, for the Protection of Personal Data (“LOPD”), OVS S.p.A. informs users who visit its website " and/or" (hereinafter referred to as "Site") of its data protection policy, highlighting its own commitment and attention with reference to safeguarding the privacy of visitors to the site.

Navigation within the site is free and requires no registration, although to access specific areas and services, the user will have to provide personal data. Where the user intends to provide personal data to access these further services, they will be expressly informed, pursuant to the LOPD, of the purpose of collection and the use of the data made by OVS, as well as the possibility to access, correct, delete or oppose the processing of same.

Information on personal data protection

Pursuant to the LOPD, OVS S.p.A. has provided the following information.

1. File management

Based on that set forth in the LOPD, we would like to inform you that the information you provide when completing any electronic form on the site will be entered into a file under the responsibility of OVS S.p.A with headquarters in Mestre (Venice), via Terraglio, 17, Post code  30174 - Italy, (hereinafter “OVS”) in order to provide, develop and perform the sales contract for OVS products sold through the site, answer requests for information, facilitate and satisfy undertakings established between the parties and send information and advertisements, including via SMS, email or other electronic means with regard to OVS products, offers, promotions and newsletters.

 OVS can also transfer your data for the above mentioned purposes to other companies in the group (pursuant to Article 42 of the Code of Commerce) at world level, detailed data for which are available on the following website, taking into account the fact that some of these companies may be located in countries like the USA, where the privacy legislation does not necessarily offer the same level of data protection as is applicable in the EU.

2. Types of personal data processed

You do not need to be registered to access the Website. However, some sections in the Website do require you to register, or use a username and password (e.g. to complete the on-line purchasing process).There are also certain services for which you must provide your data should you wish to use them (e.g. your data may be required if you wish to access the Newsletter services, contact us, share your “Wish List” with a friend, etc.) and you can request that these details be cancelled at any time by sending an email to the following

If OVS acquires personal data of site users, according to that established in the LOPD, it will inform said users of the purpose for which data are collected and the way in which they will be used. If necessary, OVS will arrange to acquire the user’s specific, unequivocal consent for the relative use of the data. For example, personal data such as the user’s name and surname, telephone number, email address and other information that the user consents to provide may be requested to enable the user to access the services of the Website, and these must be provided by filling in a specific registration form. OVS will only use the personal data collected on-line for the purposes indicated during registration.

3. Optional nature of the users decision to provide personal data

Whether the user provides the personal data is generally an optional decision. Only in certain cases, failure to confer the data can prevent the user from accessing specific services and obtaining the object of the request (e.g. registration is required to proceed and purchase products online). If these obligatory data are not provided, it will not be possible to register the user as an OVS customer and access the on-line purchasing service for OVS products.

All information provided by the user through the forms on the site and for the purposes listed above or any other purpose, must be truthful. For this purpose, the user guarantees the authenticity of all data they communicate and that they will keep the information provided to OVS perfectly updated so that it reflects the current situation of the user at all times. The user will be the sole person responsible for any false or incorrect information that they enter and for any damage to OVS or other parties arising from the information they provide. Should the user provide OVS with data from other parties, they will be responsible for having informed and obtained the preliminary consent of said third parties for the provision of their details to OVS.

4. Data processing procedures and field of communication

The data can be processed both electronically and in paper form. OVS guarantees that the personal data provided via the Website will be processed lawfully and correctly, in full compliance with the legislation in force, and will maintain the strictest confidentiality regarding the data provided during registration. All the information collected is sent via a protected connection to prevent it being intercepted by third parties. The safety of the Website is guaranteed and certified by a leading company in the provision of services regarding Internet security. OVS will keep personal data that it has collected and implement the safety measures required to prevent any alteration, loss, processing or access that has not been authorised. OVS will comply with these duties according to that established in the applicable standards and regulations.

The data will not be communicated or disseminated to third parties except within the limits and under the conditions expressly indicated in the note provided to the user from time to time, and only upon receipt of authorisation from the same.

5. Links to other sites

This legal warning is only applicable to the site and is not valid for any other websites that may be consulted by the user via links on the same. OVS cannot be held responsible for the personal data provided by the users to external parties or to any other websites that may be linked to this site.

6. Cookie use

OVS does not carry out any promotional communication and/or advertising activities without the users prior explicit consent.

OVS uses “Cookies” for user navigation on site to make it possible to navigate in a customised, easier manner. Cookies are text files which are sent from a web server (which is the computer on which the Website visited is running) to the user’s browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) and memorised in the hard disk of the user’s computer when they visit the Website. The cookie allows the Website to identify the user’s PC by way of the information memorised therein each time that the user reconnects to the Website using the same PC.

7. Rights of the interested parties

Concerning the data collected using the methods envisaged in the previous sections, the user may exercise all rights as recognised by law and specifically, the rights to access, correct or delete data and to oppose the processing of same, if necessary, as well as to revoke consent for the granting of personal data. The request shall contain the following: name and surname of the user, address for notification purposes, photocopy of their identity card or passport and specific content of the right being exercised.

8. Review clause

OVS reserves the right to review its current "Privacy Policy" and presentation and configuration of this website at its exclusive discretion, in any way and/or at any time, without any need to submit advance notice.
