MASSIMO PIOMBO
Massimo Piombo was born in Liguria, a region of settled and nomadic people. In the early years of his life, Massimo chose the sea, studying and immersing himself in his passion for architecture and his hobby of romantic literature.
His first significant journey took place after reaching adulthood: Scotland was a revelation. Upon his return, he rented a huge hangar where girls and boys began to envision the Piombo project alongside him.
In the meantime, he continued his frenetic travels in search of winning insights and people who could join his project. Massimo frequented intellectuals, journalists, and traveled across Europe.
His jackets dress those who matter. In New York, Barneys called him to shape the legendary department store's iconic shop windows. Alongside his main activity, Massimo combines a passion for writing and publishes small "cult" books, including "Tagli di Piombo," written in collaboration with Barbara Alberti and Vittorio Sgarbi, and the series "Dettagli di Piombo," examples of enlightened marketing.
Furthermore, he creates photographic books, small inspirational films, and photography exhibitions, always balancing between utility and pleasure.
In 2017, his encounter with OVS finally allows him to dress those who truly matter: more or less everyone.

“Massimo Piombo is a legend. Thanks to his iconoclastic streak and a penchant for particular and often expensive fabrics, Piombo has cultivated a fan base of menswear enthusiasts”
